BLUSHØJ CAMP

Blushøj camp was located in one of Copenhagen´s peripheral areas in Valby. The caravan park was established by the City of Copen- hagen in 1948, when travellers found it difficult to find places to park their caravans. The caravan park closed in 1962. See Anders Enevig´s film about Blushøj camp here.

LISTEN TO SONGS AND CONVERSATIONS

In 1959, the folklore collector Anders Enevig collected recordings among Romanies and travellers. Listen to recordings where the traveller Agnes Sambleben sings a ballad and speaks in a mixture of Romany and German.
